The Employers Organisation for Hairdressing, Cosmetology and Beauty (EOHCB) is a constituted registered Employers’ Organisation as per the Labour Relations Act, 66 of 1995 and have been representing its members since 1947.

 

The EOHCB is a non-profit organisation that promotes the interest of its members by protecting and supporting the needs of employers through Collective Bargaining and Labour Relations assistance and development.

 

The organisation represents employers on a regular basis at Bargaining Council and CCMA level, for dispute resolution through conciliation and arbitration. The EOHCB also engages in collective bargaining where conditions of employment and salaries are negotiated on behalf of employers through meaningful consultation for the industry.

 

The EOHCB prides itself in the confidence, experience, knowledge and proficiency its employees possess. With offices throughout South Africa, employers are consulted and represented by a team of professionals who adds value to your business and provides various mediums for interaction and facilitation suitable to individual labour and business needs.

  • Promote and safeguard the interest of our members

  • Facilitate and regulate positive relationships between members and their employees

  • Provide comprehensive support services tailored to member needs

 

Labour Relations Excellence: 

  • Provide sound, expert labour advice to guide members through complex employment matters

  • Ensure full compliance with collective agreements and industry standards

  • Protect and advance our members' interests throughout the collective bargaining process and shopfloor level negotiations

  • Represent members comprehensively in all labour disputes and related proceedings

  • Keep members informed of changes in labour legislation and industry developments

  • Assist with the preparation of labour-related documentation and workplace policies 

  • Act as a positive intermediary between employers and employees to foster mutual understanding 

  • Foster constructive labour relations across the industry 

  • Participate in or establish bargaining councils and statutory bodies as required by legislation 

  • Advocate for or against legislation that affects our members' interests 

 

Education and Training Leadership:

  • ​Support the development of members' business skills to enhance operational excellence and competitiveness 

  • Identify education and training requirements through collaborative consultation with stakeholders 

  • Champion the development of national education and training standards 

  • Support the establishment of quality assurance bodies for education and training 

  • Create and maintain training structures in partnership with recognised institutes and authorities 

 

Workplace Safety and Standards: 

  • Ensure responsible control and management of harmful or potentially harmful workplace products

  • Promote safe working environment across our industry 

Industry Development and Empowerment: 

  • Create employment opportunities and foster career development within our industry
