September 2023 EOHCB Journal

In the September 2023 edition of the EOHCB Journal, we inform members that the National Executive Committee and Board of the EOHCB are meeting in October to workshop and approve the 2024 budget and Audited Financial Statements for the 2022 financial year as prescribed in the Constitution and to attend to other matters pertaining to the organisation and the industry represented.

We explore the rights of employers when an employee claims to have a medical condition that affects their ability to perform their duties or poses a risk to the health and safety of others and the employee refuses to seek medical assistance, we look at nurturing mental wellness within the industry and share an important statement made by the Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr. Blade Nzimande concerning the Occupational Qualification Hairdresser.
