FEBRUARY 2022 EOHCB JOURNAL

In the February 2022 edition of the EOHCB Journal, we invite and provide our members with the set dates for each divisional Annual General Meeting. We explain incapacity due to ill health or injury and provide guidance to terminating employment due to incapacity when the incapacity presents itself to be substantially fair and in order to terminate the working relationship, how to follow a procedurally fair process.

We look at ways to optimise social media marketing to grow your business and its audience and outline how to set clear goals and objectives in the workplace.

Members are reminded that effective as of 1 March 2022, the National Minimum Wage of South Africa will increase by 6.9% to R23.19 per ordinary hour worked. The increase also affects the allowances paid to learners as per schedule 2 of the National Minimum Wage Act. As provided by the National Bargaining Council for Hairdressing, Cosmetology, Beauty, and Skincare Industry, we share the updated salary/wage schedules as prescribed per division.
