The EOHCB is pleased to introduce Khayelihle Malizo “Errel” Mbuyisa, who has joined the organisation as the Industrial Relations and Business Development Consultant for KwaZulu-Natal, situated in Durban. We are grateful to have him as part of our team and look forward to the value he will bring to our members, prospective members and the wider hairdressing, cosmetology, beauty and skincare industry.
Errel is an industrial relations and labour law practitioner with a strong interest in supporting employers to build compliant, fair and productive workplaces. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of South Africa, a Postgraduate Diploma in Labour Law Practice from Nelson Mandela University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Zululand. He is also completing a Master of Laws (LLM) in Labour Law through the University of South Africa.
Before joining the EOHCB, he served as a Designated Agent for the National Bargaining Council for the Hairdressing, Cosmetology, Beauty and Skincare Industry. In this role, he conducted compliance inspections, investigated complaints and assisted with the resolution of labour disputes. His experience also includes advising employers on labour law matters, drafting employment policies and contracts, and representing parties in dispute resolution processes.
In his role with us, Errel will support members across KwaZulu-Natal with practical labour law and industrial relations guidance. This includes assisting with compliance under the Main Collective Agreement and South African labour legislation, as well as representing members in disciplinary hearings, Bargaining Council proceedings and matters before the CCMA where required.
A key part of Errel’s work will also be to build and strengthen relationships with salons, spas, barbershops and beauty establishments throughout the province. Through this, he aims to help employers better understand the value of EOHCB membership and the support available to them, while continuing to contribute to the growth and professionalisation of our industry.
Errel recognises that running a successful business requires more than technical expertise. It also requires sound labour relations support, clear guidance and confidence when dealing with workplace matters. Through EOHCB membership, employers have access to experienced assistance with labour law, compliance and dispute management, supported by a recognised employers’ organisation that understands the particular challenges faced by the industry.
We believe Errel’s background, measured approach and practical understanding of the industry will be of real benefit to our members. We look forward to introducing him to businesses across KwaZulu-Natal and to working alongside him as we continue supporting compliant, sustainable and successful workplaces.
